Your Excellency,

            Shocked to learn a severe earthquake occurred in the northern part of Pakistan, which resulted in great casualties and property losses, I would like to, on behalf of the Chinese Government and people and in my own name, express my sincere sympathy, to Your Excellency and through Your Excellency, to the Government and people of Pakistan and the injured people, and deep condolences to the bereaved families.

            I believe that, under the leadership of Your Excellency and the esteemed Government of Pakistan, the Pakistani people are bound to overcome the difficulty, defeat the disaster and rebuild their homes.
