Capitaliite Beauties Feasted with Delicious Chinese Cuisine
2007-11-09

ISLAMABAD (Daily Mail) Winters come with their own set of surprises. Where at one end, one does not want to leave the cozy quilt, there the hunger goes at its peak as the cold shafts envelop from left, right and center. And winters come really hard in our Capital city, Islamabad. H.E. Jiang Yili, better half of the Ambassador of China to Pakistan, solved the problem as she threw an informal meet, at the Embassy, here this Thursday.

There was a time when the ladies used to only cook traditional foodstuff of their particular region only. But as Islamabad is not part of any province but stands as the Capital city of Pakistan and thus, is home to people from all walks, talks and faces of life, and also because today's woman is more innovative and keen on adopting foreign cuisine and of course as Chinese dishes are a favorite around here, thus many ladies are usually busy in trying Chinese cuisine either at the local hotels or from various recipe books at home. And such a thirst for tasty Chinese recipes was very rightly acknowledged by H.E. Jiang Yili as she interacted with women here yesterday.

Amidst fluttering butterflies adorning the plants and twinkling trees made of light while cool artificial winds blowing all over the room, the guests belonging to all walks, talks, faces of life, belonging to various ages, were very warmly received by the generous hostess. However, that was not all. The morning that began with generosity, was filled with joy as the ladies were first given an introductory demonstration on various delicious Chinese cuisine and then actually given the chance to make three of them along the expert chefs at the Embassy. And the fun didn't end here. They were actually served food made by their own hands as well as a cultural souvenir was given to each one, for remembrance.

The morning where served as a delight to the ladies who like to either cook or eat good food, there it also served as a way to interact between the envoy and the socialites of the city. The informality of the occasion generated more fun and thus was a threat for everyone who attended the cozy gathering. It was some but coming from the wife of Chinese Ambassador really made the difference and the guests thought that it was a generous step on her part to bridge people-to-people contact between the two countries really further r and truly wished that such a gathering be organized more often. The beauties were warmed up so much that in the end, no one wanted to call it quits and everyone wanted to just stay there forever as in the end, everyone felt right at home with the hostess.

No matter how modern we get, the womenfolk is still associated with the kitchen and food. It was thus, very thoughtfulness of Her Excellency that she gave the Capitaliite ladies an opportunity to learn food that they so very love to eat outside in the true Chinese way and prove to their ever so busy husbands that they might be the boss in their work but when it comes to food, then ladies are still the best!
