Following is the text of a message from the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the President of the People's Republic of China :-

Excellency,

I wish to convey on behalf of the Government and people of Pakistan and on my own behalf sentiments of sympathy and total solidarity with the Government and people of China who have been severely affected by snow storms and inclement weather that has hit many regions of China .

The resolute manner in which Your Excellency and the Chinese Government have acted to provide relief and restore services is both inspiring and commendable.

Our thoughts and sincere good wishes are with our Chinese friends who will undoubtedly overcome the effects of this natural calamity.

The people of Pakistan wish their Chinese brothers every happiness and success for the approaching Chinese New Year and Spring Festival.

Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.
