BEIJING, May 30 (APP) - Pakistani manufacturers of shoes and leather products have expressed happiness over response they got from intending buyers at the annual exhibition in Guangzhou that started on Wednesday. A representative of Pakistan Embassy who visited Guangzhou told APP Friday that Pakistani exhibitors were happy on the response they got from buyers from different countries and regions.

As many as 17 prominent entrepreneurs from Karachi and Lahore are taking part in the 18th International Exhibition on recommendation of Pakistan Tanners Association with the collaboration of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TADP).

According to the organizer, the Fair is unique in terms of specifically catering to the needs of shoe manufacturers.

The Exhibition has become an important event for the leather industry for the consumption of finished leather for shoes in Guangzhou city as it is also considered one of the industrial hubs of China.

The success of the exhibition can be judged from the fact that last year there were 892 exhibitors from thirty countries that showcased their leather products and the Fair received 26,000 visitors.

The TDAP in view of encouraging Pakistan's leather industry and for the promotion of country's export is regularly participating in the exhibition.
